Our Forest Schools

Our Outstanding Little Forest Nursery Schools are unique childcare settings that provide care for children who are confidently walking aged 2 to 5 years. Based in picturesque villages and surrounded by beautiful historical woodlands, we offer an exciting opportunity for children to experience freedom in the great outdoors. Our philosophy is to equip young children with an education that encourages an appreciation of the natural world, with daily access to local woodland areas where hands on learning experiences can take place.

Forest School offers all our children the opportunity to develop confidence and self-esteem, and to experience achievement in a natural environment. Our core objectives are to produce confident and capable children like these.

‘We feel happy and contented and care for each other. Our practical skills are getting better. We understand, care for, and appreciate the natural environment. We know when it is safe to take risks. We can make choices and think deeply. We have good ideas and love finding out new things. Our language skills are improving all the time. We do lots of outdoor physical activity. We are independent and resourceful’.

Our highly qualified and experienced forest school teachers believe that young children develop most when they are ‘learning by doing,’ when they are given responsibility, work in groups, take acceptable risks and think for themselves.

Working together we make your child stronger and give children the best possible chance to learn achieve and be happy!
