This week we have been supporting our Healthy Eating week, alongside our annual Sports Days at both our Nonsuch Park settings.
Promoting healthy eating in the early years establishes lifelong habits. Strategies include acting as positive mealtime role models, involving children in food preparation, making vegetables fun with creative names, and exposing them to diverse, minimally processed foods in a relaxed, pressure-free environment.
Here are a few photos from the past week. 📸🎞️

Watching construction workers is a fantastic, free activity for toddlers, offering sensory stimulation and early STEM learning. Safe viewing from behind the fence, allows kids to see diggers, dump trucks, and cranes in action, which often sparks joy and learning. The Construction workers were friendly, waving back to the children.

Celebrating ‘Special Person’s’ Day helps toddlers build strong emotional bonds, boosts their self-esteem, and introduces key social skills like empathy and gratitude. Engaging in simple, celebratory activities—such as decorating biscuits, baking, or dancing—also fosters sensory exploration, language development, and coordination, strengthening the parent-child relationship.
Thank you to our lovely families that have attended our events at both London Lodge and Nursery Lodge this week. We appreciate all our families who were able to make it.

Hatching chicks offers young children a hands-on, learning experience that fosters empathy, responsibility, and scientific curiosity. Watching the hatching process develops patience, while caring for chicks introduces basic empathy and safety, teaches them about the life cycle, and builds sensory and fine motor skills through direct, gentle interaction.

How the weather changes everyday!
Forest School sessions generally operate in all weather conditions—rain, snow, cold, or sunshine—to foster resilience, independence, and a deep connection to nature. The guiding philosophy is often “no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing,” with safety managed through waterproof layers, shelters, and active play. 🌳
