Policy & Provision
Little Forest Schools is registered with the Surrey County Council Family Information Service (FIS), which can be accessed via the SCC website. We offer up to 6 hours of government-funded childcare per full day. Any hours beyond this funded allocation are charged at our standard rate.
Government funding does not fully cover the costs involved in delivering high-quality care and education—such as meals, snacks, consumables, outings and staff with enhanced qualifications. To bridge this gap, we apply an ‘Enhanced Provision Fee’ to help cover these additional expenses.
What is an Enhanced Provision Fee (EPF)?
Due to the distinctive nature of the Little Forest Schools experience, we apply an Enhanced Provision Fee (EPF) to help cover a range of essential costs not funded by the government. Activities such as Playball, Linguatots, Tiny Tunes and Sports Play. Our daily forest school outings, specialised outdoor equipment such as toilets, tents, and tools, tailored staff training including Forest School qualifications, nutritious and child-friendly healthy snacks, and fresh local fruit as well as everyday consumables like open fire cooking, wipes, and sun cream.
The EPF will be £13.80 per Funded 3 Hour Session
